Favorite Place

Though my favorite place is always changing, my current favorite is my university’s colonnade. This is my favorite spot to lay in some grass, people watch, and even sneak a nap in between classes.

What was your first interaction with a school-community project and the impact it had on you?

My first interaction with a school-community project was with a local Delta Sigma Theta Sorority near my school. They hosted a mental health workshop for members of our community and partnered with our high school organization known as The Brainy Bunch. As the founder, I got the chance to educate students of color in my community on the importance of mental wellness.

How did you first learn about EPIC-N?

I first learned about EPIC-N through the internship that I’m doing with the EPA.

What are some of the top priorities you are working on this year?

My top priority is merging my passion for the environment with my community project experience. The majority of my work experience is in nonprofit work and education, but I look forward to using those skills from those experiences for the environment.

In what ways are you looking to engage, or work with others, either from within the EPIC-Network, or in general?

I’m looking to engage with others by learning more about certain projects along with working with my fellow interns.

During my internship I am assigned to support the production of blog posts and webinars related to the EPIC-N and US EPA partnership. I look forward to meeting some of the leaders of programs in the USA.
