Important Update: 2020 EPIC-Network Conference Changes

Published 3:30 PM EDT 03/18/20

Dear EPIC-Network,

As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities, universities, and personal lives, the EPIC-N Executive Committee, at the recommendation of the organizers of the 2020 EPIC-Network Conference, has decided to cancel the conference altogether. We do so out of respect for the additional work nearly everyone involved in the conference (organizers, presenters, attendees) are being asked to do in their home communities.

BUT, out of respect for the value of the work that was going to go on during its many sessions, and in many cases the work already done by session presenters, we also decided that we will do our best to make session content available to others in the Network. Presentations will be delivered as recorded webinars over a period of time.

Presenters are being asked to record their presentation as a webinar before a tentative deadline of May 1, 2020. Marshall will be in touch with each presenter about how that will be organized. After the presentations are recorded they will be linked to the 2020 EPIC-Network Conference page and viewable by anyone until July 1, 2020. After July 1, we’ll archive them for members at the EPIC-N Member Commons.

Once scheduled, notice of these webinars will be posted on the EPIC-N Events page, with links to joining in real time. We’ll also be encouraging use, during these sessions and beyond them, of the hashtag #2020EPICN on social media platforms to allow all stakeholders to facilitate connections, relationships, and community at any time.

Finally if you have any questions about this change, or about your refund processing, please contact organizers at 608-709-8644 or info@epicn.org.

Sincerely,

The 2020 EPIC-Network Conference Organizers
