2020 EPIC-N Conference Schedule

The conference schedule is ready for viewing!

Each year EPIC-N surveys its conference attendees to improve its practice. Respondents share that the EPIC-Network Conference is valuable for its networking, sharing, and catalyst nature for anyone involved in a university-community partnership program. For the 2020 conference, the proposed schedule is set to provide a meaningful engagement for attendees.

The network answers the call for proposals in innovative ways!

This year EPIC-N facilitated its first call for proposals. Network members, and individuals outside the network, submitted more than 25 proposals. Those who wrote proposals submitted diverse topic ideas.

In alignment with our conference theme “EPIC-N for All”, many of the proposals focus on telling stories about adaptation to support diverse participants. Presenters will describe their adaptation of the EPIC Model to unique aspects of higher education (e.g., liberal arts, extension programs), and to unique types of community partner organizations (e.g., rural, unincorporated, transit departments).

Others focus on technical aspects of managing the partnership from both the community and university perspective. Some example topics include: scoping projects, producing final reports and deliverables, finding grants for projects, and budgeting, just to name a few.

Conference organizers make changes to the conference schedule based on feedback.

After taking into account last year’s feedback, the 2020 conference hosts overhauled the scheduled to reflect that feedback. The new schedule packs three days of events to make the most of your time in Indiana. Some of the most well received content from previous years remains (Pecha Kucha, Awards, Core EPIC Content), while other new features have been added. This year, the new features include more networking time, more workshops, interactive site visits, and sessions created by network members.

Keep an eye out on our website for more updates!

Although organizers have confirmed most of the schedule details, there is still some finalizing to be done. As the event approaches, organizers will be publishing more information to keep you informed. Keep on the look out for full session abstracts, presenter information, and details about the site visits on Tuesday to be posted to the conference website shortly!
